Abstract: Introduction: Outdoor Sport come of Alps area in 18th century, and spread all over the world in 1970’s. it is introduced into China and developed quite great along with the tidal wave of China’s social reforming and opening. In present, the outdoor sport has already become a new method of study and training as well as a social fashion for modemist in China. Some universities have set up the outdoor sport as a major recent year in China. The purpose of this study is to study the feasibility of the event being a part of P.E curriculum. Methods: documentary and literature study were conducted in this study, meanwhile, the experience of outdoor sport teaching in our college was summarized. Results: the results show that: 1) it accords with the requirements concerning with P.E of National Ministry of Education that outdoor sport events enter universities’ curruculum. the NME’s compendium emphasizes that universiies must use all kinds of nature resource, include air, water, river, lake, sand beach, field, forest, grass land, and others, to conduct sports teaching. These policy ensured that Outdoor Sports improved in PE curriculum in universities. 2) outdoor sport can fetch up the deficiency of playgrounds and sports equipments in some universities. 3)It improved the health of students body and spirits. 4) Students were satisfied with potential of themselves and explored new things. 5) It will be a necessity that Outdoor Sports enter PE curriculum in universities when the faith of leisure were accepted by all people. Discussion: anything has two aspects in its process of production and development. It has some limiting-factors that Outdoor Sports becomes a part of PE curriculum in universities. The location of a university in the city; curriculum system; traditional concept of teaching sports; theory of Outdoor-Sports and ability of practice were faultiness; and safety is the important factor.
