November 5 saw the activities of Thailand Theme Day at the Theme Pavilion of the World Leisure Expo. Among the officials and guests present were Piroon Laismit, Consul General of Thailand in Shanghai, and Shi Yongsheng, Deputy Director of the Office of Hangzhou World Leisure Expo.
In his speech, Mr. Shi expressed his appreciation of the unforgettable glamour of Thai leisure, a peculiarity at the theme pavilions of the World Leisure Expo. It was hoped, he added, that the leisure style can help promote mutual understanding, complementation, friendship and cooperation and hence give impetus to the common development of the leisure industry. |
The tourists and spectators on the scene watched the elaborative Thai promo, enchanting traditional Thai dancing and heart-stirring Thai boxing performance, and some luckier ones even had the opportunity to take part in the funny, gift-awarding interactive games. Besides, on the stage of the Thailand Pavilion were found performances of traditional Thai musical instruments and "Sawatdeekaa" charity sales of Thai artworks. The Thai officials there announced that all the sales revenue of "Sawatdeekaa" that day was to be donated as charity to the flood-stricken areas of Thailand. |
